- I started running track & field during 8th grade. I continued running track & x-country in high school and even ran for 2 1/2 years in college. I ended up getting stress fractures in my femurs and was told I probably wouldn't run again. I gained 100 lbs and took around 14 years off. Two years ago I lost 86 lbs and last year I started running again.
